The Sevylor Alameda kayak takes up the features of the previous “Hudson” model, with an overall improvement in all areas, a change in aesthetics, improved comfort and greater rigidity, all for a more solid kayak! The higher seats, halfway between canoe and kayak, are a great evolution. Seating comfort is on a whole new level, with the tensioning of the side bolsters making the whole kayak much stiffer, which considerably improves the glide of the kayak.
The model’s big plus? The new seat system, which allows you to paddle higher up and prevents the inflatable kayak floor from buckling. As the seats are no longer placed on the bottom of the boat, the submerged part of the kayak is considerably reduced, for a better quality of effortless glide(15% reduction in paddling effort).
