Originally designed in the 1950s when the Bianchi-Pirelli team asked for a pump that would fit under the rear seat of the Fiat team car, the Pista pump quickly became an icon of professional team cars and mechanics’ workstations at 6-day track events around the world. The pump’s compact shape and ability to lie completely flat mean it takes up minimal space in a trunk, sports bag or larger tool kit, making it a true sports icon among cycling connoisseurs.
In 2017, we took all the qualities of the original Pista and introduced a redesigned limited edition version of the pump with Molteni’s iconic orange body to celebrate our 100 years in business. These modern orange pumps were originally intended as a limited edition product to celebrate our heritage, but the positive response and demand for the product has continued. Now in our second century of manufacturing high-performance pumps, we’re pleased to make the Pista part of our permanent range of foot pumps, and will now offer it in a modern red livery.
